PALISSANDRE DE RIO - IMPERIAL WOOD 1050
The imperial wood pens were made in 1989 by the French division of Sheaffer pens using the noble wood Palissandre de Rio.Only a very limited run of the fountain pens were made some with a wooden ornament and the others as shown below with a gold plated ornament. In the online magazine Stylophiles Jan 2003 edition, Andreas Lambrou says the original fountain pens were the ones with the wooden ornament ,and the model shown below was a experimental version of which only four pieces were made. The ballpen shown came to me from a seller in Italy and as you can see the outer cover for the pen box shows the pen was given the model number 1050, the same number as the Metallic Quicksilver pens.
