Constructed from a solid brass rod with a layer of nickel plate beneath the 23k gold electroplate finish.An intricate scolled pattern has been engraved into the surfaces of the barrel and cap.The nib combines the two-tone of 18K gold and silver-coloured palladium-plated chevron.Each pen individual serial number and the W.A.Sheaffer Pen Co.Pat.No.896,861 are engraved near the lever.
